Pronounced BAH-LEE-AHGE, Balayage is a French term meaning ‘sweeping,’ as in to sweep on a hair lightener
to create highlights. Balayage is the technique of free-hand painting highlights onto the hair, creating
a soft and natural gradation of lightness towards the ends.
This technique will give you a naturally graduated fade throughout the hair that will give you the look
of long sun kissed summer days spent at the beach. This natural-looking highlighting technique is not
just for blondes but can be applied to all shades of hair to add a soft, radiant dimension. This
treatment will take over 2 hours
A PARTIAL BALAYAGE is available to freshen up already Balayage hair without taking so long to do in the
salon. This is perfect for someone who wants to come in earlier to “top up” their hair rather than
waiting to have the whole balayage created again? A Partial Balayage would normally take just over an
hour.
HALF HEAD BALAYAGE is as it sounds -half the head. The treatment is applied to the top, front and sides
of the head giving a beautiful faded look whilst the back is left untouched. This service is only
recommended for people with already Balayage hair who needs their hair freshened, brightened or “topped”
up.
Probably one of the most widely known terms in hair styling, Highlighting is pretty much self-explanatory. Lighter colours are applied fully or partially throughout the hair to brighten your natural hair base or create depth with your hair colour; choose from a variety of colours and appearances from soft to hard or bold to natural.
Root stretch has become very popular with clients this season. This method of colour application is designed to blend out old highlights and remove the definition line that old highlights can leave after as little as a month's growth. This technique adds a tonal drift of colour using two shades, to suit your style and compliment your existing hair colour. Appearance can be natural or dramatic depending on the look you want to achieve.
